Kerala University College of Teacher Education Kariavattom
KUCTE, Kariavattom has been working as an educational institution under the University of Kerala. The college was initially started at Government High School, Kazhakuttom on 1998 with strength of 250 students. B.Ed course was conducted with the optional subjects Malayalam, Mathematics, Natural Science, Physical Science and Social Science. The college was shifted to Government UPS, Kaniyapuram on 11-June-1999. The college is functioning in its own land area of 5 acres in Kerala University Campus, Kariavattom since 11-07-2012. The college envisages to equip prospective teachers with the knowledge, skills, attitude, competence and commitment to face the challenges of day to day life. Students from all parts of Kerala are studying in this college. We have a team of enterprising dedicated academic faculty and supportive non teaching staff members. The college has achieved eminent scholastic and coscholastic excellence right from its inception. We have a close association with more than 20 High Schools and Higher Secondary Schools.
The college is functioning under the monetary system of University of Kerala .The team work of the Principal, the Teaching and the Non-teaching staff is a source of inspiration to the students to fulfill there scoring ambition. We believe that the central task of education is to implant a will for learning; and it should produce not only learned but learning people and our motto is “Quality Education for Life“.
Institutional Excellence Award
By considering the overall development of the college including instructional,infrastructural,curricular and co-curricular performance level of students and the remarkable intiatives of Staff Members KUCTE Kariavattom was awarded the Institutional Excellence Award in 2018 from Association of Institutional Researchers in Indian Origin.
